OMAGIECA Obo-ob Mangrove Garden Bantayan Island Cebu, Philippines

OMAGIECA
The Obo-ob Mangrove Garden Integrated Ecotourism and Conservation Association

It is located in between Sta. Fe and the Bantayan town proper.  Use your charm and the friendly people of the island will you show you the way.

Omagieca shows the beauty of Mangroves how it helps a lot for the marine ecosystem. It serves as a breeding ground and a home for different kinds of fish. A turtle was tied up under the bridge and I felt sorry for the poor thing.

I'm not fond of Mangroves, they really look creepy. I have that impression during my trip to Sumilon Island when we've gone Kayaking. This time I got to see what really behind the darkness.

How to get there: Cebu City-Bantayan Island

Terminal: Cebu North Bus Terminal
Ceres Bus fare air conditioned : 150 php Bus fare non-air conditioned: 132 php
Travel time: 3-4 hours.

At the Hagnaya Wharf you'll pay for the boat fare: 150 php and terminal fee: 10 php.
