Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church Bantayan Island Cebu, Philippines

Five Century Old
Sts Peter and Paul Parish Church

We headed to Bantayan church, also known as Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church just across the town plazaI was planning to visit the church when we first arrived at the island. It look really old, the structure and even the color was mesmerizing and I just simply want to touch the stones.

How to get there: Cebu City-Bantayan Island

Terminal: Cebu North Bus Terminal
Ceres Bus fare air conditioned : 150 php Bus fare non-air conditioned: 132 php
Travel time: 3-4 hours.

At the Hagnaya Wharf you'll pay for the boat fare: 150 php and terminal fee: 10 php.

It is considered as the Oldest Parish in the Philippines. It was built around 1850 during the Spanish era-no wonder it still stands today. A lot of Spanish buildings were made to last a lifetime and as time goes by the structure becomes more significant and historical.
