Malapascua Island Departure, Cebu Philippines

Cebu's Mini-Boracay

On our final day in the island, another group was ready to occupy our house and they come prepared, which is a good thing. Foods in the Island are expensive especially their beverages. If you have a minimum budget then you should packed up some canned goods, eggs, hot dogs, bacon or any food you can cook in minutes. The house we rented has a refrigerator to keep your goods fresh and eating utensils are also available.

How to get there: Cebu City-Malapascua Island
Terminal: North bus Terminal
Ceres Bus bound for Maya via Bagay route
Non-air conditioned : 163 php
Travel time: 2-3 hours.
Maya Port Boat fare: 80 php. If low tide the boat will not be able to dock along the seashore, you'll have to ride a small boat that will take you to the bigger boat. Transfer fare to a bigger boat fare: 20 php.

Going back to Cebu City:

We took the 1:30 pm 2nd to the last trip. Boat fare: 80 php with a 30 mins. Travel Time. Last trip is around 2 pm, be sure to pack your bags early and have an early lunch. If you're taking the afternoon trip always stay at your left side. The sun's rays will sting like a bee if you stay at the right side. At the Maya port area buses bound for Cebu are available. Bus fare: 163 php. Travel time 3-4 hours. The sun has already said goodbye when we reached home. I definitely had a wonderful time in Malapascua Island, I considered it as Cebu's Boracay, another captivating Tourist Destination.
