Travel Tips

If you're still looking for plane tickets check out Skyscanner, It's a great platform that our family used to compare flight tickets and we always get the best deals there.

Be wise enough to arrange your transportation before arriving at the airport, especially if you have small children, as it gets really crowded at the airport. If you're planning to rent a car Enterprise is a reliable car rental service that we have personally used without any issues. Consider renting a car for the whole duration of your trip as it may be more affordable than just renting for a short period.

Places To Stay Around Niagara Falls

Things to do in Niagara Falls Canada:

1. Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls
Address:  Table Rock Welcome Centre
6650 Niagara Pkwy, Niagara Falls, ON, Canada

The number one attraction of all time. One and only, unique border between Canada and the United States of America. The Majestic Niagara Falls at its full glory. Experience the thrill of the raging waters with a variety of activities to choose from that suit your availability. No entrance fee for falls sightseeing.

I love getting close to the waters, as it reminds me how powerful mother nature is and all its wonderful creations. Don't forget to watch out for the fireworks display, check the website as it changes along with the weather.

2. Niagara Skywheel

Niagara Skywheel
Address: 4946 Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls, Ontario L2G 3N4, Canada

A bird's eye view of Niagara Falls. Our school gave us free ride tickets for this activity. It so happens on my birthday too.

3. For Couples: Wine Tasting with Groupon

Wine Tasting
Address: Niagara On the Lake College Campus

I did this one with my partner at Niagara On the Lake College Campus. The package was a full-blast activity as it offered a wine and beer-tasting tour with a lunch meal.

Booked online for reservations

4. Stroll around Clifton Hill and Souvenir shopping

Cliffton Hill
Address: Clifton Hill , Niagara Falls

The most colorful and lively street in Niagara Falls. Souvenirs are found all over Clifton Hill or try to look around the street along your hotel or inn.

Tshirts: 5 CAD - 30 CAD
Keychains: 3 for 5 CAD
Maple syrups, biscuits, jackets, hats, figurines and all... (tax excluded)

5. Horror House and Mirror Maze

The most exciting place I've been to is the Horror House in Clifton Hill. I was shouting like a madman running for its dear life. My partner was trying to keep it together as he tried to figure out the way along with my ear-shattering voice in the background. It's nice to play along with the scene, get yourself scared and walk fast like there's someone after you.

It comes in a package Horror House and Mirror Maze. After a heart-stopping moment in the horror house, we went straight to the Mirror Maze and grooved to the music as we found our way to the exit door. The maze was a colorful house of mirrors. We happily danced to the music of Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" while we looked for a specific number of reflections in the mirror.

They also offer 2 more attractions Ripley's Believe it or Not and the Wax Museum.

The booth is located near Crystal Caves Mirror Maze
Address: 4967 Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Upside down house

Address:4967 Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls, ON L2G 3N5, Canada

It's a small and unique attraction. Be amazed at how the world would look upside down.

6. Marineland Themed Park

Marineland Themed Park
Address: 7657 Portage Rd, Niagara Falls, ON L0S 1A0, Canada

I like Marineland's Sky Screamer, it is considered the world's highest triple tower ride (over 137.2 metres/450 feet).

7. Adventure Waterpark with Groupon

Address: Waves Indoor Waterpark, 8444 Lundy's Ln, Niagara Falls, ON L2H 1H4, Canada
Entrance fee: We purchased a Groupon package for four, excluding tax which you pay upon arrival.

Kids will love it here as four adults had a blast so that pretty much explains why. They have a wave pool, waterslides, a water bucket shower and an indoor game arcade.

8. Niagara Falls Casino

Niagara Casino
Address: Fallsview Casino 6380 Fallsview Blvd, Niagara Falls, Ontario L2G 7X5, Canada

I'm not really a big fan of Casino but if you feel like having a break with free refreshments, then might as well drop by the casino.

10. Must-try Foods

Canada is famous and proud of its coffee industry. Don't forget to have a coffee break in Tim Hortons. You won't miss it as it's all over Canada. My favourites are Dark Roast mixed with 1/4 French vanilla and Iced coffee with one shot of sugar.

Try "Poutine" Canada's version for french fries. It goes with fries, gravy and cheese on top.

Check out Harveys, the best fast-food burger I've tried in Canada.

The cheapest deal of all time 10 pieces of chicken wings for the price of 2 CAD only. Chicken wings every Wednesday Night at Taps On Queen Brewhouse and Grill. Address:  4680 Queen St, Niagara Falls, ON L2E 2L8, Canada.

Go for Nature trips around Niagara Falls to avoid the crowd.

11. Check out St. Catharines

St. Catharines is more like a residential area but there are plenty of restaurants in the downtown area and some nearby parks.

Check out :
Chocolate Etc. The Best Homemade Gelato in town.
Address: 100 Welland Ave St. Catharines, ON L2R 2N1

Downtown Graffiti
Address: Cross the street from St Catharines Downtown Terminal, it's near the gym.

11. Swim in Crystal Beach

Crystal Beach
Address: Fort Erie, Ontario

It's actually a lake but it does pretty much look like the beach. A great place to get away from the city. Pack your colorful umbrella, a mat, shades, a book and some snacks for an outing by the beach.

12. Sunbathing on Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach
Address: 1 Lombardy Ave, St. Catharines, ON L2M 1H8, Canada

Best lake I've been to in St. Catharines with white sand and clean waters. We brought our picnic basket, spent all day in the sun and just enjoyed each other's company. I enjoyed this lake more because of my friends, plus I saw one guy doing kite surfing.

13. Port Dalhousie

Port Dalhousie
Address:  80 Lighthouse Rd, St Catharines, ON L2N 7P8, Canada

Check out the lighthouse, walk around the lake, see the boats and enjoy the sunset in Port Dalhousie. We went biking here and followed a trail to a nice park.
